This is a great solo for an intermediate jazz guitarist to check out Grant's phrasing, economy of notes, and how he outlines the changes on this standard. One thing that is particularly cool are the altered lines that Grant plays on some of the V chords.
Pat Martino's solo on Just Friends from the album El Hombre. There's some great bebop vocabulary to be learned from this. Trying to play any of Pat's solos is going to be a handful, but this one is more approachable than some of his later stuff. This one is a work in progress.
